Well, hello! I apologize for my absence on the blog this week. I went to Florida over the weekend, and it has taken me a few days to get all my ducks back in their rows. Traveling really throws me off for whatever reason.
However, I do have pictures!
Here is the description I stole from their website: “Booksellers from all over the country will open independent, pop-up bookshops for the weekend, providing a booklover’s paradise in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Visitors will find books of every description, from ancient and rare fine bindings to reading copies, on a stunning variety of topics, at The Coliseum, a beautiful, historic venue.”
It was very cool. For me, some of the highlights included: a copy of Good Omens signed by Terry Pratchett ($1100), a drawing by Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are), various Ray Bradbury books, books from the 1600s that were somehow just out on display where anyone could touch them, a giant book about birds (pic below), an erotic coloring book signed with a doodle of a man’s…area (trying to keep my all-audiences rating over here), and a wealth of retro sci-fi books.
Now for some pics!
I managed to score 3 Andrew Lang Fairy Books! I’d like to clean them up a bit if I can figure out how to do so without damaging them.
I might post more pictures of those later, because they have some nice illustrations inside. These are the orange, green, and yellow books. I haven’t read any of them yet, but I would like to.

That is all I have for now. Next week, we will return to the regularly-scheduled programming. Will I have flash fiction? Probably yes.
